# Delete a price type

`DELETE /v1/catalog-price-types/:id` calls `catalog.priceType.delete`. It requires the `catalog` scope and the Bitrix24 Manage price types permission.

> **PERMANENT DATA LOSS.** Deleting a non-base type also deletes **every product price assigned to that type and its rounding rules** across the Bitrix24 account. There is no undo. First verify the `id` with `GET /v1/catalog-price-types/:id` and inspect related prices with `GET /v1/catalog-prices?filter[catalogGroupId]=<id>`.

The base type (`base: "Y"`) cannot be deleted. The route reads the type before deletion and returns `422 BASE_PRICE_TYPE_CANNOT_DELETE` with a clear reason. Bitrix24 also protects it if its status changes between the read and the delete call.

```bash
curl -X DELETE 'https://vibecode.bitrix24.com/v1/catalog-price-types/15' \
  -H 'X-Api-Key: YOUR_API_KEY'
```

Success: `204` with no body. A missing `id` returns `404 ENTITY_NOT_FOUND`; a malformed `id` returns `400 INVALID_ID`. Bitrix24 business refusals return `422 BITRIX_ERROR` with the original message.
