## Delete document

`DELETE /v1/documents/:id`

Deletes a document by identifier. A deleted document cannot be restored through the API — create a new one if needed.

## Parameters

## Response

On successful deletion the API returns HTTP status `204 No Content` with an empty body. The success indicator is the response code, not the body.

## Errors

| HTTP | Code | Description |
|------|-----|---------|
| 404 | `ENTITY_NOT_FOUND` | No document with that `id` was found |
| 403 | `SCOPE_DENIED` | The key is missing the `documentgenerator` scope |
| 401 | `MISSING_API_KEY` | The `X-Api-Key` header was not provided |
